DTF File Requirements
DTF File Requirements
For DTF printing, your file should be a PNG with a transparent background, have a resolution of
150-300 DPI, and be in the sRGB color profile. The file should not have semi-transparent areas,
and it should be created to match the final print size with the appropriate color profile and
content guidelines.
File requirements
● File format: PNG is recommended, especially if transparency is needed. JPEG is also
accepted.
● Resolution: A minimum of 150 DPI is required, but 300 DPI is best for optimal quality and
detail.
● Color profile: Use the standard sRGB color profile (IEC61966-2.1), as Lumina Print’s
printers are optimized for it.
● Transparency: Save files with a transparent background. Avoid semi-transparent effects
like halftones, as they don't translate well to DTF.
● Size: Create the design at the actual size you want it printed to avoid pixelation,
● File size: The maximum upload size is 200 MB.
What to do
● Flatten all layers before saving your file.
● Ensure all text is legible and spelled correctly.
● Make sure the design is correctly aligned on the page.
What to avoid
● Do not use CMYK color profiles, as this can lead to inaccurate colors in the final print.
● Avoid pixelation by using a high-resolution file that matches the final print size.
● Do not use semi-transparent areas or gradients, as they may not print correctly.
